We Are Proud to be the first Florida Chapter of the Blue Star Mothers of America

We're mothers who now have, or have had, children serving in the military.

We are a non-profit [501(c)3] service organization supporting each other and our children while promoting patriotism.

It is difficult to have a son or daughter in the military, especially at times like these. Our group is a place for mothers to meet and share stories, advice, concerns, or just to get some much needed SUPPORT.

The Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. is a non-partisan, non-political organization. We do not support any political candidate, nor do we endorse any religious organization. The military represents all aspects of America as does our organization.

Mission Statement

We are an official chapter of Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. Our group is comprised of mothers who have or have had sons or daughters who proudly and selflessly serve our country and protect our freedoms.

We have joined together to encourage and support each other, our active military and our veterans through various activities and projects. We share our concerns, our pride and our devotion, and strive to promote patriotism.  Associate members made up of fathers, spouses, other family members and friends help contribute to our goals.

We proudly display the Blue Star Flag, whose history dates back to World War I, in our window when we have a loved one serving in any branch of the Armed Forces of the United States during times of conflict and war.

STATE OF FLORIDA-SUNSHINE 91-CHAPTER 1 is a non-profit organization with a 501(c)(3) under the Blue Star Mothers of America Inc. We are a Congressionally chartered veteran service organization since 1960. We are a non-political, non-sectarian, non-racial organization. The military represents all aspects of America as does our organization. We do not support or endorse any political candidate nor do we endorse any religious organization.
